Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Technical Head - Design & Costing to lead our design, development, and costing functions in the cable manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership ability, and a strategic mindset to drive innovation, ensure product quality, and optimize costs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of LV/MV/HV cables as per international & national standards (IEC, IS, BS, ASTM, etc.).

Oversee product costing and estimation, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality.

Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Quality teams for new product development and process improvements.

Review and approve technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications.

Handle customer technical queries, approvals, and tender documentation.

Monitor market trends and competitor products to drive cost optimization and product innovation.

Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory standards.

Manage and mentor a team of engineers in the design & costing function.

Key Requirements

Education:

B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.Experience: 15+ years in the cable manufacturing industry, with strong exposure to design & costing.

In-depth knowledge of power cables, instrumentation cables, control cables, and specialty cables.

Strong understanding of materials, insulation systems, and manufacturing processes.

Proven expertise in costing models, tendering, and client technical discussions.

Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
