CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Engineer IV opening for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months
Overview:
The Technical Engineer IV will lead the design, architecture, and management of the Bank's SIEM infrastructure, with a strong focus on Splunk engineering and integration. This role requires advanced technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and mentoring skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and architect SIEM infrastructure to ensure scalability, compliance, and effectiveness.
Implement, configure, and optimize Splunk SIEM solutions to collect and analyze event data.
Develop use cases, correlation rules, alerts, and reports for threat detection and incident response.
Collaborate with Cybersecurity, IT, and Risk teams to resolve incidents and strengthen defenses.
Lead SIEM-related projects, upgrades, and integrations with other security tools.
Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation.
Stay current on security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Infrastructure architecture, design, testing, and standards development.
Vendor management and coordination of resources.
Compliance with risk, regulatory, and audit standards.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
Promote a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Education and Experience Required:
Senior-level Splunk Architecture and Engineering experience.
Strong background in SIEM design, data modeling, and parsing.
8+ years of combined education and work experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture.
Solid understanding of SDLC, IT Service Management, and vendor best practices.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years' technical engineering experience with infrastructure and complex systems.
Advanced skills in troubleshooting, analytics, and problem-solving.
Knowledge of server/client and virtualization technologies.
Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.

Expected base salary: $53.20 to $88.65, based on experience, education, certifications, and market factors. A competitive benefits package is also offered. About Us:
