Key Responsibilities
Detailed Shop Drawings:
Create comprehensive production-ready shop drawings for custom woodwork, cabinetry, and furniture.
Technical Detailing:
Develop precise joinery details, sections, and assembly drawings.
Material Integration:
Specify wood species, hardware, glass, and metal integrations within woodwork designs.
Site Coordination:
Review site measurements and coordinate with vendors/carpenters to ensure drawings align with site conditions.
Quality Control:
Audit drawings for technical accuracy, material feasibility, and structural integrity.
What We Are Looking For
Experience:
4-5 years of professional experience, with a heavy focus on
interior technical detailing
.
Woodwork Expertise:
A proven track record of creating shop drawings for complex carpentry and millwork projects.
Software Mastery:
Advanced proficiency in
CAD
is mandatory. Experience in 3D detailing (SketchUp/Rhino) is an advantage.
Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of wood joinery, hardware types, and finishing processes.
Precision:
An obsession with accuracy you understand that a 2mm error matters.
Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related technical field.
Strong communication skills to explain technical details to both designers and fabricators.
Portfolio must include samples of
actual shop drawings
and technical construction sets.
