Technical Documentation specialist

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our Telecom Documentation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in authoring technical content for 4G/5G network components and a deep understanding of telecom architecture and protocols. This role involves creating user guides, API documentation, and technical reference materials in collaboration with engineering teams, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain technical documentation for 4G/5G network components including architecture, configuration, and deployment guides. Develop comprehensive user manuals, API documentation, and reference materials tailored for technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with telecom engineers and product teams to gather source information and ensure documentation accuracy. Apply structured authoring techniques using DITA XML and tools like SDL Tridion Docs and XMetaL. Ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to documentation standards and style guides. Work closely with US-based development teams to align documentation with global standards and regional requirements. Review and update documentation based on product changes and feedback.

Primary Skills

4-6 years of experience in technical writing within the telecom/networking domain. Strong knowledge of 4G/5G technologies and network components. Proficiency in structured authoring using DITA XML. Hands-on experience with documentation tools: + SDL Tridion Docs
+ XMetaL
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Experience in creating API documentation and user guides.

Secondary Skills

Familiarity with telecom protocols and standards. Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Experience with version control and content management systems. Collaborative mindset and ability to work across global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field. Over 4 years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on telecom and networking. Certification in DITA or technical communication is a plus. Experience working with geographically distributed teams, especially US-based teams. Knowledge of telecom architecture, deployment models, and configuration procedures.
