Technical Dev Manager \xe2\x80\x93 SQL/Perl/C/C++ Backend

Role Profile

• In this role, you\'ll be joining our EJV Team within Enterprise Content Technology, Shared Tech Division as a Technical Dev Manager, responsible for developing fixed income information and analytics products, and supporting the Fixed Income system.

• The successful candidate will manage the team developing ETL data feeds, refactoring data flow processes, performing support of existing web tools, performing bug fixes, and technical support on the existing system. Leads a team, promoting an inclusive and open culture, holding responsibility for motivation, retention and performance management, and leads by example.

Tech Profile/Essential Skills

• 5+ years experence on managing the development team to assigned projects, and supporting the online time sensitive production environment sucessfully.

• 5+ years hands on either Perl OR C/C++ related backend on Linux/Unix platform, web development experience is required.

• 6+ years of hands on experience at least one RDBMS (Sybase ASE ,SQL Server or PostgreSQL), and can lead the team to complete the related design and implementation.

• Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple production system support and enhancement, and encourage coworkers to do the same

• Managing teams can involve recruitment, training and performance management, including coaching and mentoring.

• Financial database maintenance and support experience is a plus.

• Familiar with Linux/Unix platform, backend system, web application servers (e.g. Apache, Nginx), and DevOps tools. (e.g. CI/CD, GIT, etc.).

• Good understanding of software engineering principles and object-oriented design.

• Familiar with Agile development process and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence etc.)

• Strong sense of core system support and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of Cloud and Big Data: Azure development and maintenance experience.

• Fixed I ncome/Financial Markets domain knowledge.

• Financial Market Industry product development.

• Ability to support the Production Support team for escalation of critical issues: Week Days - 8 hours within 13:00 GMT and 1:00 GMT.

Education and Professional Skills

• Professional qualification or equivalent.

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.

• Solid English reading/writing capability required.

• Strong communication & articulation skills.

• Curious about new technologies and tools, creative thinking and initiative taking.
