About the Role

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Designer / CAM Engineer with strong expertise in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and hands-on knowledge of Engineered Board, Wood, and Metal. The candidate will be responsible for product designing, technical detailing, CNC programming, and ensuring production-ready drawings for interior and modular products.

Key Responsibilities

Create detailed 2D and 3D designs for wall panels, wardrobes, kitchen shutters, vanities, metal structures, and other interior products. Prepare complete technical drawings, production drawings, and assembly layouts using AutoCAD & SolidWorks. Develop CAM programs for CNC machines (routing, cutting, drilling, bending, metal fabrication, etc.). Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are practical, accurate, and optimized for manufacturing. Understand material specifications for engineered board (MDF/particle board/ply), wood, metal, and hardware fittings. Modify designs based on customer requirements, technical feedback, and prototype results. Ensure dimensional accuracy and follow engineering standards. Maintain a library of designs, templates, and production files. Troubleshoot design-related or machine-related technical issues on the shop floor. Collaborate with QC for product testing and improvements.
Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Designer, Draftsman, CAM Engineer, or similar role. Strong command of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and related design/CAM software. Experience working with CNC routers, panel saws, drilling machines, bending machines. Good understanding of manufacturing processes, especially in engineered board & metal. Ability to interpret technical drawings, tolerances, and BOM. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under timelines and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in modular furniture, interior products, or OEM manufacturing industry. Knowledge of hardware fittings, joinery methods, and sheet-metal design.
