Oracle EBS User Guide Writer / Training & Documentation Analyst
Role Overview
The Oracle EBS User Guide Developer will be responsible for creating comprehensive, user-friendly documentation for the client's Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) implementation. Working closely under the guidance of the Howmet's Solution Architect (Melissa) and functional leads across modules (Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Inventory, Manufacturing, etc.), this individual will analyze business processes, understand functional changes or customizations, and produce high-quality process flows and user guides that clearly articulate how end users should perform their day-to-day tasks in the new system. This role is essential to ensuring successful user adoption and smooth transition into the new Oracle EBS environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Documentation Development

• Develop detailed user guides, SOPs, and training documents for Oracle EBS modules.
• Create end-to-end process flows using tools like Visio.
• Identify and highlight deviations from standard Oracle EBS flows, clearly documenting customizations or process changes.
• Capture and annotate system screenshots, ensuring clarity and consistency in documentation.

2. Collaboration with Project Teams

• Work closely with functional consultants to understand new process designs or changes.
• Collaborate with Melissa (client architect) to ensure accuracy and completeness of process flows and guides.

3. Quality Assurance

• Validate documentation with functional leads for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain version control and ensure updated guides are published after changes.

4. Project Delivery

• Work within project timelines and ensure documentation deliverables are ready for UAT, CRP cycles, and Go-Live.
• Maintain a repository of all user documentation in approved client systems (e.g., SharePoint, Teams).

Required Skills and Experience Functional & Technical Skills

• At least 5-8 years of experience preparing user guides for Oracle EBS R12 implementations.
• Strong understanding of common EBS modules (Purchasing, Inventory, AP, OM, AR, WIP, BOM, etc.).
• Ability to interpret functional MD50s.
• Familiarity with Oracle standard flows and ability to map them to client-specific custom flows.

Documentation Skills

• Proficiency in: Microsoft Word / PowerPoint / Excel o Microsoft Visio or similar process mapping tools
• Ability to write clear, concise, and instruction-focused document content.
• Experience preparing:

o User guides
o SOPs
o Work instructions
o Process flows
o Training decks Soft Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a structured and methodical approach.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfort with capturing system screenshots and annotating them accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in global Oracle rollout projects.
• Experience using documentation repositories like SharePoint or Confluence. Deliverables
