Description:
CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Consultant - Application Security position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Advise clients on application security risks, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies across the application portfolio.
Integrate security controls throughout the Software/Application Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, build, test, and deployment.
Lead and support Application Security initiatives, including Threat Modeling, Secure SDLC, DevSecOps, and application security testing.
Drive application security vulnerability management by analyzing high-risk findings, reducing false positives, and defining effective remediation plans.
Implement application security guardrails during application modernization initiatives in multi-cloud environments.
Collaborate with development, cloud, and infrastructure teams to embed security-by-design principles.
Skills:
Application Security, Secure SDLC, Threat Modeling, and DevSecOps
Cloud Application Security, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security
Experience securing applications in AWS, Azure, and GovCloud environments
Vulnerability assessment, analysis, and remediation planning
Strong consulting, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience:
Proven experience as a Technical Consultant or Engineer in Application Security.
Hands-on experience implementing application security controls in cloud and multi-cloud environments.
Demonstrated experience with vulnerability management and application security testing tools and processes.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Additional Requirement:
US Citizenship is required.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
