About the Startup

We are an early-stage startup building an

AI-powered UGC Ad Engine for small and medium businesses (SMBs)

. Our mission is to help businesses generate high-performing video ads without depending on agencies, influencers, or complex creative workflows.

The product focuses on combining AI-generated scripts, visuals, and repeatable ad structures into a reliable system optimised for performance. An MVP is already in progress, and we are now looking for a

Technical Co-Founder

to take full ownership of the technology and build the product into a production-ready, scalable platform.

Role Overview

This is a

Technical Co-Founder / Founding Engineer

role, not a traditional employment position. You will be responsible for

building, owning, and scaling the entire technical stack

and will be a core decision-maker in the company.

You will work closely with the founder on product direction, architecture, and long-term technical strategy. The role requires

full-time commitment

and is suited for someone who wants to build a company from the ground up.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct & Engineering

Own end-to-end product development (frontend, backend, infrastructure) Design and build scalable backend systems and APIs Develop reliable workflows for AI-powered video ad generation Integrate and manage AI/ML models and third-party APIs Ensure system stability, performance, and security Implement proper error handling, logging, and monitoring Make core technical and architectural decisions
AI & Systems

Build AI pipelines (prompt orchestration, model routing, iteration logic) Work with LLMs, image/video generation models, and automation systems Optimise cost, latency, and output quality Design systems beyond simple "AI wrappers" by adding real logic and workflows Lay the foundation for future data-driven optimisation and learning
Infrastructure & Scale

Set up and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP or equivalent) Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows Plan for scalability as usage grows Make long-term technology choices with defensibility in mind
Co-Founder Responsibilities

Act as a true co-founder, not just an engineer Participate in product roadmap and strategy discussions Align technical execution with business priorities Take ownership and accountability for outcomes
Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical

Strong full-stack development experience Solid backend engineering skills (APIs, databases, system design) Experience working with AI/ML systems and APIs (LLMs, generative models) Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) Experience with modern frontend frameworks Understanding of scalability, reliability, and performance trade-offs
Mindset

Builder mentality with strong execution focus Comfortable working in early-stage ambiguity Ability to take ownership and make decisions independently Long-term commitment to building a startup Strong problem-solving skills
Nice to Have (Optional)

Experience building SaaS products from scratch Experience with video processing or media pipelines Prior startup or founder experience Experience building B2B or SMB-focused products
