Network administrators are responsible for maintaining computer networks and solving any problems that may occur with them. Typical responsibilities of the job include: installing and configuring computer networks and systems. identifying and solving any problems that arise with computer networks and systems. A network administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's LAN/WAN network. Their primary responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
Candidate should have solid experience of Network administration managing LAN/WAN setups.
Network Installation and Configuration: The network administrator must install, configure, and maintain the hardware and software that makes up the network. This includes switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices.
Network Performance: The network administrator monitors the network to ensure that it is operating efficiently and that there are no bottlenecks or other issues that could cause network downtime or slow performance.
Troubleshooting: The network administrator must be able to identify and resolve issues that arise on the network, such as connectivity problems or hardware failures.
Backup and Recovery: The network administrator is responsible for backing up critical data and ensuring that it can be restored in the event of a disaster.
Network Upgrades: The network administrator must keep up to date with the latest hardware and software technology and recommend upgrades to improve the network's performance and security.
Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate customers networks and in house servers
Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
Keep an eye out for needed updates
Support and administer third-party applications
Ensure network security and connectivity
Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
Resolve problems reported by end user
Define network policies and procedures
Specify system requirements and design solutions
Research and make recommendations on server system administration
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor's Degree required. Preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Fluent English, oral and written

• Strong Analytical Thinking

• Excellent organisational multitasking skills

• Flexibility, commitment, and ability to work under pressure; absolute integrity and utmost discretion

• Attention to detail, well organized, and able to set priorities

• Ability to anticipate, identify and solve critical problems and conflicts

Proven experience in a network administrator role
Hands on experience in Zscaler
Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
Experience with firewalls, Internet VPNs remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
Ability to set up and configure server hardware
Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
Great at organising, prioritising and multitasking
Juniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE training
