The Mission
We are looking for a sharp, data-driven Civil Engineer to act as the
Technical Assistant to the Director
. This is not a desk job; it is a high-impact role for an engineer who understands site execution but wants to move into management, strategy, and data analysis.
You will be the bridge between the remote construction sites and the Head Office, ensuring that what is reported matches reality.
Key Responsibilities
1. The "Eyes & Ears" (Monitoring & Efficiency):
DPR Analysis:
Collect Daily Progress Reports (DPR) from all sites. Compare actual work done vs. the targets. Highlight delays immediately.
Machinery Auditing (GPS & Fuel):
Monitor heavy equipment via GPS tracking software.
Cross-verify "Machine Running Hours" claimed by site staff against GPS logs.
Analyze Diesel Consumption Reports to calculate fuel efficiency (average liters/hour) and identify potential leakage or theft.
2. Executive Support & Site Coordination:
Shadow the Director:
Travel with the Director to various sites. Take detailed Minutes of Meetings (MoM), record instructions given to site staff, and strictly follow up on their execution.
The "Bad Cop":
Follow up relentlessly with Site Engineers to ensure tasks assigned during visits are completed.
3. Billing & Technical Documentation:
Assist in preparing and verifying RA (Running Account) Bills for projects.
Coordinate with the Quantity Surveyor (QS) to ensure measurements are accurate.
Maintain a central dashboard of all project statuses.
Candidate Profile
Education:
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
Tech Stack:
Mastery of
Excel
(Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) is non-negotiable. Familiarity with AutoCAD and GPS Tracking software is a huge plus.
Personality:
Detail Oriented:
You notice if a dumper truck took 4 trips but the logbook says 6.
Mobile:
Willing to travel frequently with the Director.
Assertive:
Ability to question Site Engineers senior to you based on data.
