Job Summary:
We are seeking a multifaceted and forward-thinking Technical Architect - Workday to lead innovation initiatives across our HR technology landscape. This role will focus on Workday Extend, AI/ML integration, and emerging technologies to enhance employee experience, operational efficiency, and digital transformation. As a key member of the HR Tech leadership team, you will architect scalable, secure, and intelligent solutions that align with our strategic HR and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design innovative solutions using Workday Extend, Workday Orchestrate to address complex HR business needs.
  • Lead AI/ML-driven initiatives in the Workday ecosystem, including use cases like predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and conversational interfaces.
  • Collaborate with HR COEs, IT, and business collaborators to find opportunities for innovation and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Serve as the technical SME for Workday Extend and integrations, ensuring standard processes in security, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Drive proof-of-concepts (POCs) and rapid prototyping for new technologies in the HR space.
  • Drive AI-led solutions in areas such as talent acquisition, employee experience, workforce analytics, and HR service delivery.
  • Partner with Workday and third-party vendors to evaluate and implement new capabilities.
  • Mentor junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in HR Technology, with at least 3 years in a Workday technical leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in Workday Extend, Workday Studio, Workday Integration Framework, and Workday APIs.
  • Experience with AI/ML platforms and integrating them with enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, REST APIs, and event-driven systems.
  • Proven track record of delivering innovative HR tech solutions at scale.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Workday certifications in Extend, Integration, or Studio.
  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms, chatbots, or RPA in HR contexts.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Passion for emerging technologies and a strong innovation approach.
