Job Description

Key responsibilities :

1. Architecture & System Design

- Own and define the end-to-end architecture across backend services, mobile apps, cloud infrastructure, and integration points.

- Architect scalable, secure, HIPAA-compliant solutions on AWS.

- Design and document microservice-based architectures using Node.js, Typescript,

- REST APIs, and event-driven patterns.

- Oversee architectural guidance for Flutter-based mobile applications.

- Create standards for API design, data modelling, message flows, and service-to-service communication.

2. Technical Leadership

- Provide technical leadership to offshore developers across backend, mobile, and DevOps.

- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and enforce engineering best practices.

- Mentor engineers on system design, performance optimization, and cloud-native patterns.

- Evaluate new tools/technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.

3. Cloud, DevOps & Kubernetes

- Design and optimize AWS infrastructure leveraging services such as EKS, Lambda,

- API Gateway, SQS/SNS, RDS/DynamoDB.

- Lead Kubernetes workload design, cluster security, deployments, scaling strategies, and incident diagnostics.

- Oversee containerization workflows using Docker and CI/CD pipelines (Git-based flows).

- Ensure observability standards--monitoring, logging, tracing--are in place for all services.

4. Security, Compliance & Healthcare Standards

- Ensure system architecture complies with HIPAA, PHI handling guidelines, encryption requirements, and identity/security protocols.

- Work with InfoSec teams to resolve vulnerabilities, enforce IAM best practices, and ensure robust audit logging.

5. Collaboration & Delivery Oversight

- Work closely with onshore architects, delivery managers, and product teams to align architecture with business goals.

- Convert functional requirements into detailed technical specifications and solution diagrams.

- Support QA/SDET teams in designing end-to-end API test strategies.

- Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for complex issues across environments.

Qualifications & Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise: 8-14 years of engineering experience with at least 3-5 years in an architect or senior technical leadership role.

Expert-level knowledge of:

o AWS (EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch,RDS/DynamoDB)

o Kubernetes (workload design, networking, scaling, RBAC, cluster security)

o Node.js & Typescript

o Microservices architecture

o Docker (containerization, image optimization, security best practices)

o Git (branching strategies, CI/CD workflows)

Working experience with Flutter mobile app development or architecture review. Strong understanding of distributed systems, caching, database architecture, APIgateways, and asynchronous messaging.
Domain Knowledge

Experience in healthcare, EHR/EMR workflows, or PHI data handling (preferred). Knowledge of HL7/FHIR standards is a plus.
Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills--able to communicate architecture clearly to both technical and non-technical teams. Leadership mindset with experience mentoring and elevating engineering teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently with onshore teams across time zones.
Preferred Qualifications

AWS Solutions Architect or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) certification. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CDK). Experience working in an offshore-onshore delivery model.

Pay: ₹1,859,736.03 - ₹3,092,386.43 per year
