We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Purview Technical Architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our team at Tavant Technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing data governance solutions using Microsoft Purview. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for data management, ensure compliance, and enhance data visibility across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of data governance solutions using Microsoft Purview.
- Collaborate with data engineering, data science, and business teams to define data governance policies and standards.
- Implement and manage data classification, lineage, and cataloging processes in Microsoft Purview.
- Develop strategies for data quality, data security, and compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate teams on data governance best practices and the use of Microsoft Purview tools.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of data governance solutions, ensuring they meet the organization's needs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Skills and Tools Required:
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Purview.
- Strong knowledge of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture and data architecture principles.
- Experience with ETL tools and data transformation processes is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
