Position Purpose

The J2EE Architect will be responsible to define, upgrade, and integrate software architecture that support Java-based applications. Java Architect to work closely with the software design team to help the application achieve long-term software/technical landscape goals by designing the architecture

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Meeting with enterprise architects and the application design team to discuss the current state and future goals and needs of the application/group
• Examining and defining current architecture systems
• Designing scalable architecture systems for Java-based applications
• Identifying the hardware and software infrastructure needs to accommodate the application\xe2\x80\x99s architectural goals
• Troubleshooting design flaws and system bottlenecks
• Performing validation tests to ensure the flexibility and scalability of the Java environment
• Assisting the software design team with application integration
• Conducting system performance tests

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• Expertise in Java, J2EE frameworks, Struts, Spring, Web Services, MQ with Strong design skills
• Expertise in Java performance tuning, code optimization techniques, profiling tools, Jmeter, tools like Splunk or Geneos
• Experience in Angular, ReactJS is plus
• Experience with Dev Ops Tool chains - Junit, Continuous Deployment, Jenkins, Pipeline, Sonarqube, Code coverage, Maven, Ansible, Docker
• Experience using IBM WebSphere, Tomcat, IHS
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework like Spring MVC
• Experience in Cloud native applications, Cloud technologies
• Experience in Linux platform
• Good knowledge in Oracle Database - SQL, PL-SQL(Procedures, Packages, Cursors etc.,)
• Good Communication Skills and must poses other soft skills to work with cross functional teams
• Good knowledge of the business of the Investment bank

Specific Qualifications

• 10-12 years of IT experience
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
• Previous work experience as a Java Architect of at least 5 years
• Advanced knowledge of software architecture
• High-level project management skills
• Ability to solve complex software system issues
• Good communication skills
