Purpose and Scope:





The position is part of Agile practice of Technical Financial Reporting. Through assignment systems and reporting related value teams, person will be responsible for:


driving and implementing best practices in all financial reporting technology (BPC, SAP, BW, SAC, etc.) across the globe (including implementation of BPC EMEA, Japan and APAC),



ensuring data is consistent and accurate across all systems for financial reporting,



building global system to ensure support of global managerial and statutory budget process,



Supporting FP&A Center of Excellence to align requirements with our system capabilities



Hosting training and demo sessions to drive the best use of systems across the globe



Maintaining and supporting global consolidation process



Tech Reporting Partner collaborates closely global business units in areas related to BPC, HANA, SAC and other non SAP systems. He/she works closely with team of 8+ members from global outsource service provider.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities:




Implementing right support model of financial systems across Astellas and third party service provider



Partner directly with our global finance teams to identify the best SAP/BPC/SAC financial solutions



Support reporting requests including but not limited to validation, analysis, review, logging, escalation & follow up



Serve as a technical resource for global reporting and training as needed



Submit actuals and forecast of both EMEA and America's sub-region to global managerial system



Ownership of the global reporting initiatives to align local to global reporting needs, modifying reporting structures and local systems to provide seamless integration with global management reporting systems



Maintain strong business relationships with key business stakeholders and proactively identify reporting solutions that would enhance our efficiency and effectiveness as an organization



Partner with the global FP&A COE to develop a vision, implement, and maintain the strategy for financial reporting/forecasting process in current and future systems



Primary lead on design, enhancements (planning and testing), process improvements and new initiatives related to our global financial reporting systems. Responsible for subsequent operation, troubleshooting and maintenance in new process states.



Ensure integrity of all financial data, hierarchies, and reporting through process management and partner with business



Continuously review and research opportunities to maximize utilization of relevant systems. Stay abreast of new offerings and solutions that could be of potential benefit to the business.



Maintain solid knowledge of finance operations to produce Budgeted & Actual product P&Ls



Serves as a liaison with the IT Support team to effectively utilize the various financial systems (SAP, SRM, BPC, BW, SAC and ect.) to drive improved financial reporting and greater efficiencies.



Responsible for developing and maintaining Statutory Product PL and partnering with global Tax and Record to Report on any improvements



Responsible for providing overall governance and framework for BPC including, but not limited to, the creation of new BPC / BW cubes to drive process efficiencies in the financial environment; enhanced use of BPC in the planning, forecasting, and MTP processes; and synchronization of SAP and BPC to ensure the systems are fully reconciled



Develop, generate and provide unique product reporting to Astellas Japan including product P&L's



Provide product level expense analysis, and develop budgeted cost allocations and variance reporting



Provide training on all key financial systems to individuals inside and outside with in GBS



Create the Contract Revenue Forecast / Budget with documentation of all assumptions. This includes increased collaboration and communication with all contract revenue generating departments / functions across the globe



Required Qualifications:




BS/BA in Accounting or Finance with strength in IT applications.



15+ years working experience in Accounting/IT.



10+ years managerial or project management experience.



Consolidation and financial reporting experience.



Knowledge of SAP (and supporting systems), BPC and Excel software packages.



Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.



Must have SAP S4, ECC financials knowledge.



Preferred Qualifications:




CPA, MBA, or advanced degree (Business)



SAP-BW system knowledge
