Roles & Responsibilities Overview & Responsibilities: This role exists to bridge the gap between our ambitious product vision and the practical realities of design and development. Reporting to the CTO and collaborating closely with our Engineering, Product, and Design teams, the Product Manager is tasked with the crucial responsibility of turning strategic goals into actionable plans and tangible products. Ultimately, your work will directly impact Knit\'s ability to deliver innovative AI-powered solutions to our customers, contributing significantly to the user engagement and satisfaction that drives our business forward. Key performance indicators for this role: Successful, timely delivery of product features against the roadmap. Quality and usability of product documentation. Positive feedback from cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Impact on customer satisfaction and user engagement metrics. Primary responsibilities of this role: Product Vision and Strategy Alignment: Understand and internalize the product vision and detailed requirements as communicated by the Head of Product and CTO. Documentation and Requirements Specification: Document product and feature requirements for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Manage and maintain detailed project information, including feature definition and scope. Create and maintain project timelines, defining clear milestones and deliverables. Develop comprehensive execution plans for features and projects, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap. Project Management and Execution: Oversee the development of multiple product features, ensuring they are well-planned, executed efficiently, and delivered with high quality and predictability. Ensure all engineers have a clear understanding of the scope of work for each feature, minimizing knowledge gaps. Collaborate with engineering leads to estimate task efforts and resources required, developing actionable short-term roadmaps. Assist in resource allocation, delegation, and task assignments with Lead Engineers. Manage dependencies effectively, identifying potential bottlenecks and facilitating their resolution. Ensure timely delivery of product features as per the roadmap defined by the Head of Product and CTO. Apply project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) effectively to streamline product development processes. Utilize JIRA for tracking project progress, task management, and workflow optimization. Track project progress across multiple workstreams, maintaining productivity metrics and status reports. Ensure that release criteria are met. Feedback Analysis: Systematically gather, organize, and analyze feedback from customers and internal teams. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the product, industry trends, and market dynamics. Project Requirements: Required Skills & Experiences: 5+ years of experience in project management, with a strong ability to translate strategic visions into actionable plans. 1+ year of experience at a market research, customer feedback, or similar SaaS or technology company. Startup experience is a bonus! Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, necessary for articulating product visions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing stakeholder expectations. A technical (engineering) background and a solid understanding of software development and AI technologies. Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (like JIRA). Ability to lead projects drive teams towards common goals. A Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Engineering. Team: Product Reports To: CTO Supervisory Responsibility: Individual contributor, works with the Engineering, Product, and Design functions. Ideal Start Date: Feb 15th, 2024 Location: We are an Austin-based company with a remote working policy. We are looking for teammates anywhere in India! Travel: This role will be expected to occasionally travel within India (to Ahmedabad).
