As we continue to elevate our shopping experience, our India Tech Hub plays a key role in expanding our technology capabilities in Product Systems, Merchandising and Planning, Digital Presence, distribution and logistics, and corporate systems. Our team in India works as an extension of the global team on projects of strategic importance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field with a minimum of 12 years of experience in delivering and managing large scale data systems.
• At least 3 years of experience playing the role of a Technology Manager/Engineering Manager.
• 8+ years of Experience in development of data migration, ETL processes, data warehouse projects with a focus on data engineering, reporting and analytics.
• Strong understanding of database fundamentals and database technology.
• Strong understanding of modern databases (RDBMS, NoSQL etc.) and Big Data ecosystems.
• Experience in cloud database technologies ( Azure).
• Experience in one or more of the following databases/platforms/tools Oracle (or a similar RDBMS like MySQL or PostGreSQL), Snowflake, Airflow for configuring pipelines (or similar tool).
• Experience in retail is preferable.
• Experience working with financial data/reporting is preferable.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in agile development methodology.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical leadership:

• Guide the team in design and engineering to implement and deliver data pipelines, big data systems that meet business requirements. Ensure adherence to best practices in development, DevOps and QA. Drive innovation and adoption of new technologies relevant to requirements.

Data Delivery:

• Ensure data is delivered as a service to business partners to support day-to-day decision making based on accurate data.

Cloud Data Platforms:

• Detailed knowledge of cloud-based databases and warehouses and infrastructure components.

Team management & Development:

• Recruit and mentor a team of software engineers with focus on engineering and operations excellence. Be responsible for performance reviews and provide career guidance.

Project management and delivery:

• Oversee the development lifecycle from requirements, design, development, QA, deployment and operations support. Adhere to roadmap and timelines.

Vendor Partner management:

• lululemon may choose to work with IT services partners to augment the engineering team for delivery. Managing the IT services partners relationship for successful collaboration and delivery of business requirement is required.

Operations efficiency:

• Drive improvements in operational efficiency, monitoring and observability of systems.

Product Management:

• Proven ability to work closely with product managers to define, prioritize and deliver data products.
