Hybrid Working We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. CRDE is new platform to check the premier eligibility of the customer and blue rewards , travel packs feature from PBE. As PBE is legacy technology . . The role requires an experienced, high calibre technical lead with good functional and technical engineering skills and product knowledge to work with Architects and key stake holders to deliver project change to agreed time, quality and cost parameters. . Very good knowledge of the major tools in a toolkit for the specific application product - Java, RDBS(SQL Server) are vital to this role. What will you be doing . Project delivery including design, development, testing (80%) o Working with the Business & Architects to ensure requirements are fit for purpose. o Preparing application and detailed design for Fair-fee project impacting Pricing & Billing Engine. o Managing the delivery of change in the integrated technology environment o Understanding the risk profile of change and ensuring that integrated testing is commensurate with that risk profile. o Delivery of all agreed change to time, quality and cost parameters o Ensuring that all change is designed and implemented using best practice o Ensuring that all engineering reviews are completed and the introduction of change into the Production environment follows agreed governance processes o Support the Application Management function with problem records and high severity incidents. o Review and technical guidance to junior members of the team. . Project Management i.e. compliance to processes (20%) o Actively contribute to Product direction and planning initiatives o Maintain the Product roadmap and Product Manual o Retain accountability for the product components and interface links with other applications o Provide product management information to the Product owner What we\'re looking for: o Experience in Java/Java Enterprise Edition development experience o Object Oriented Analysis and Design Concepts, Core Java 8, Java Enterprise Edition (e.g. JMS, JPA, MDB, JAX-RS) or Spring Framework, Spring-Boot and REST-APIs o Experience in producing high transaction volume service/applications, performance turning and application profiling o Strong skills in Junit, DevOps tooling and RDMS.
