About the Role

We are looking for a

Tech Lead (PHP Backend)

with over a decade of experience in designing and building scalable backend architectures. You'll be responsible for leading a team of developers, making architectural decisions, ensuring best coding practices, and actively contributing to the development lifecycle. Your role will have a significant impact on product quality, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of scalable backend systems using PHP (Laravel/Symfony/CodeIgniter). Make high-level design choices and enforce coding standards and best practices. Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams. Review code, troubleshoot performance issues, and guide team through complex technical challenges. Mentor junior and mid-level developers. Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and architecture discussions. Evaluate and integrate third-party tools and APIs. Ensure application security, performance, and compliance with coding standards.

Requirements

10+ years of hands-on backend development experience using

PHP

and related frameworks (Laravel preferred). Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and MVC architecture. Experience with database design and management (MySQL, PostgreSQL). Solid understanding of version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker). Proficient in performance optimization and caching strategies (Redis, Memcached). Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in an agile and fast-paced environment.

Pay: ?80,000.00 - ?160,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
