Our Byzzer team is working on expanding NielsenIQ's platform for small to medium businesses. Byzzer, a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Google Cloud, accelerates the speed to insights and simplifies data analysis, so clients do not need an army of analysts . Our clients around the world rely on NielsenIQ's Connect data and insights to innovate and grow.
As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you'll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled technologists who are passionate about learning and prototyping cutting-edge technologies. Right now our platform is based in Node JS, React, Apache, ReactJS, Jenkins, and Postgres running in the Google Cloud and their suite of tools, and we continue to adopt the best of breed in cloud-native, low-latency technologies. We value CI/CD in everything that we develop.

Responsibilities

• Write complex, maintainable code to develop scalable, flexible and user-friendly applications, using backend Java and front-end JavaScript, node.js and React
• Identify and develop reusable UI components that serve the needs of multiple applications
• Design and develop highly available, low latency, cloud-native applications
• Leverage multiple first- and third-party data sources and develop highly efficient data access RESTful APIs against data stored Relational and NoSQL databases

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of relevant software engineering experience
• Strong fundamentals in front and back-end object-oriented programming, including proficiency in Javascript and React
• Experience designing and developing front-end UIs
• Familiarity integrating Restful APIs and an understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency in cloud architectural concepts and best-practices specifically with Google Cloud Platform (experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure acceptable)
• Sound SDLC skills, preferably with experience in an agile environment
• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface across cross-functional technology teams and the business
• Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
