Lead all engineering, design, and technical teams to support product development and manufacturing requirements.
Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Drive improvements in product performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
2. Production & Operations Management
Ensure daily production targets are met with optimum efficiency and minimal downtime.
Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and process optimization initiatives.
Monitor OEE, productivity metrics, scrap levels, and process compliance.
3. Maintenance & Asset Management
Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance of machines and equipment.
Ensure minimal breakdowns and maximum machine utilization.
Plan capex for new machinery, upgrades, and technology adoption.
4. Quality & Compliance
Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO/TS/industry-specific standards).
Drive root-cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement programs.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and statutory norms.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Purchase, HR, Design, and Finance for seamless operations.
Support vendor development and technical evaluation of suppliers.
Lead technical discussions with customers and support after-sales challenges when needed.
6. Strategic Planning
Develop and implement long-term technical strategies aligned with business goals.
Identify opportunities for automation, capacity expansion, and technology upgrades.
Prepare annual budgets for engineering, production, and maintenance functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's/Postgraduate degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or related field.
10-18+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial/technical leadership role. (Plastic Industry Preferred)
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machine operations, maintenance systems, and productivity tools.
Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma (advantage).
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
Strong communication and people-management abilities.
