Job Purpose: The Area Incharge - C&I oversees the daily operations of C&I systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. The role involves supporting maintenance activities, coordinating emergency responses, ensuring safety compliance, and assisting in resource and budget management. The Area Incharge contributes to continuous improvement efforts, identifies potential risks, and provides guidance to the team to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Oversee C&I Operations:

• Supervise day-to-day operations of C&I systems within the assigned area, ensuring system performance is in line with operational goals. Lead troubleshooting activities and monitor systems to maintain optimal production support.

Maintenance Implementation:

• Assist in the development and execution of maintenance strategies. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to enhance the reliability of C&I systems and reduce downtime.

Emergency Response Coordination:

• Assist in coordinating response activities during system failures or breakdowns. Ensure timely execution of corrective measures to minimize downtime and disruptions in production.

Safety & Compliance:

• Support the enforcement of safety protocols and conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, internal standards, and industry best practices.

Team Development:

• Provide guidance to junior team members, assisting them in skill development and aligning their goals with organizational objectives. Ensure proper training and upskilling to improve team performance.

Resource & Budget Management Support:

• Assist in the allocation of resources and monitoring the budget for C&I maintenance activities. Ensure efficient utilization of resources and adherence to the approved budget for system maintenance and improvement projects.

Risk Identification & Mitigation:

• Identify potential risks and inefficiencies in C&I systems, and work with senior management to implement mitigation strategies to prevent disruptions.

Qualifications:
Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is essential. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems would be advantageous. Strong academic foundation in electrical engineering principles, power systems, and electrical safety is crucial.

Work Experience (Range of years):

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electrical maintenance and operations within a large-scale industrial environment. Proven track record in managing electrical projects, ensuring safety compliance, and optimizing electrical systems for efficiency and reliability. Demonstrated ability to lead electrical teams and drive operational excellence.
