Summary of the Role:

Analyze customer process user requirements specification for engineered process equipment (including different technologies such as direct flow filtration, tangential flow filtration, chromatography etc.) used in the Biopharmaceutical industry.

Leading, managing coaching and coordinating the Engineering team as a fully integral part of the Engineering organization.

Act as technical and managerial expert/coach and mentor within the team to develop the organisation by coaching team on their daily work and on critical technical questions which require specific knowledge and experience in this field.

Responsible for scheduling and resource planning of the PASS systems manufacturing process which includes; system assembly, support for testing PFAT, FAT, SAT and final crating and shipping preparations..

Take ownership of technical tasks with increasing complexity

Take ownership of very complex technical tasks and issues.

Provide expert technical input and service on very complex tasks and issues.

Co-ordinate small to complex large size projects with PM and manufacturing vendors

Specific Responsibilities that you would own:

Essential Job Functions

Create & Review of BOM specifications and approval for PR release.

Review and understanding of DQ stage 1 documents : coordinate with project team

Review and understanding design documents , Coordinate with design department

Review open orders and initiate corrective action of risk of delivery of components.

Supervise production planning sheet for projects based on project schedule

Review of daily planning from engineering team including shop floor workers.

Review of manufacturing progress at all sub suppliers like mechanical, electrical ,automation etc.

Review of capital assets for its maintenance, calibration etc..

Review of processes , procedures related to engineering on regular basis.

Ensure safe environment for working on the floor

Ensure skids are assembled and kept ready for pre FAT as per project schedule.

Support in closing NCR's and POR's

Support procurement team for vendor selection , evaluation and re evaluation where required.

Ensure punch items are effectively addressed before packing of skids.

Adhere to company's EHS requirements.

Inventory. WIP , VAVE monitoring and report is submitted on monthly basis to top management

Support pre order stage in terms of costing , design for complex or large scale projects

Coaching and Training

On the job training for new team members

Execution of specific technical training topics

Mentoring and developing team members

Drive and Participate in Continuous improvement processes

Team management and people development

Chair/Execute daily visual management

Execute performance and development reviews in line with Danaher guide lines with team members

Execute operational talent assessment of team members.

Develop and maintain training/induction plan.

Overall Resource planning

Qualifications:

BE or equivalent Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. A higher degree or secondary degree in a related subject would be an advantage.

Experience of Mechanical engineering / Project management of equipment used in Biopharmaceutical manufacturing

12 to 15 years of experience of Mechanical engineering / project management of equipment used in Biopharmaceutical manufacturing including large scale and complex projects involving the integration of multiple systems.

Proven track record of having lead and successfully executed various complex large scale projects within the biopharmaceutical/ Equivalent industry.

Experience of working on projects in various cultures

Familiar with software such as Word, Excel, SAP, CAD & Teams

Position Competencies:

Ability and willingness to work in a multinational and interdisciplinary team with a high degree of travelling.

Ability to communicate effectively on complex technical / engineering issues at the highest level. Pall internal as well as with the customer.

Language skills English

Knowledge and understanding of the current industry guidelines for designing, manufacturing, testing and documenting biopharmaceutical process equipment. (ASME BPE, GAMP, cGMP, ISPE, etc.)

Ability to teach other team members from professional experiences and detailed technical knowhow.

Leadership skills to lead a technical multi disciplinary team.

Other Requirements

Driving License

Capability to overtake responsibility and leadership in multi-cultural projects

Ability to operate in an environment with strict timelines in a matrixed, project based organization
