To oversee and drive sales performance within the commerce vertical, ensuring revenue growth, market expansion, and high-performing team dynamics. The Team Manager - Commerce will be responsible for implementing strategic sales initiatives, nurturing client relationships, and aligning sales operations with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Leadership & Strategy
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve organizational revenue and growth targets.
Lead, manage, and mentor the sales team to ensure consistent performance and achievement of set KPIs.
Set clear targets, monitor progress, and ensure accountability across the team.
Craft and execute short-term and long-term plans for business development in the commerce sector.
2. Market & Business Development
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.
Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to refine sales tactics.
Develop and maintain a strong client base, ensuring long-term relationships and repeat business.
Adapt sales strategies based on emerging trends and market dynamics to maintain competitiveness.
3. Team Management & Performance Optimization
Recruit, train, and develop high-performing sales executives.
Conduct regular performance reviews, providing coaching, feedback, and development support.
Foster a results-driven, collaborative, and growth-oriented team culture.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with marketing, product development, operations, and finance teams to ensure integrated execution of business goals.
Provide actionable insights to improve marketing campaigns, product offerings, and service delivery.
Ensure alignment between sales initiatives and broader institutional objectives.
5. Financial & Compliance Oversight
Utilize knowledge of financial and accounting certifications (CA, CMA, ACCA, CMA-USA) to ensure compliance and credibility in sales practices.
Monitor pricing, discounting, and financial processes to maintain profitability and transparency.
Support the finance team in developing accurate sales forecasts and budget allocations.
6. Reporting & Data-Driven Insights
Prepare periodic sales reports and dashboards highlighting performance against KPIs, market insights, and action plans.
Use data analytics to make informed decisions on strategy adjustments.
Report key findings, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong understanding of professional accounting and finance certifications (CA, CMA, ACCA, CMA-USA).
4-5years of experience in sales management, preferably in the education, training, or professional certification domain.
Proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
