Alexa Data Services (ADS) mission is to provide high-quality labelled data at high-speed and low-cost for machine learning (ML) technologies.

Key job responsibilities
Manages team size of 20 to 25 ML Data Associates.
\xc2\xb7 Executes plans for team to perform tasks related to multiple ML workflows in a well-defined process area.
\xc2\xb7 Ensures ML data workflows are quality compliant. Analyzes ML data, SIM issues, and metrics. Highlights trends, gaps, etc. Provides status reports.
\xc2\xb7 Identifies risks and ensures escalations reach the right people. Adherence to confidentiality and compliance requirements
\xc2\xb7 Responsible for known SLAs and task completion targets (within provided capacity) for specific customers.
\xc2\xb7 Works with internal/ external teams and uses his/her knowledge and expertise to execute business goals
\xc2\xb7 Uses data to set/revisit operational goals and manage activities
\xc2\xb7 Manages escalation/ complex tickets; analyzes data; highlights trends, gaps, etc.; and reports key metrics
\xc2\xb7 Presents data in business meetings/reviews
\xc2\xb7 Design and implement process improvement projects that impact team level performance. Participates in new workflow roll out projects teams.
\xc2\xb7 Coaches direct reports on demonstrating leadership principles in their role.
\xc2\xb7 Assigns appropriate challenging work to employees to develop & prepare them for larger roles.
\xc2\xb7 Provides team guidance on work types and prioritization. Work of team primarily focuses on straightforward, well-defined objectives, but may take on ad hoc and ill-defined requests.
\xc2\xb7 Devises and implements performance improvement plans for associates. Provides regular coaching and feedback to direct reports with regard to quality, performance, behavior and career development.
\xc2\xb7 Performance manages team based on metrics & deliverables on a regular basis, and make decisions on hiring & firing.
\xc2\xb7 Holds team members accountable for performance based on metrics and adherence to rules and guidelines.

A day in the life
Amazon is seeking an experienced team manager to manage team of 20-25 annotation experts. The Team Manager will lead the annotations effort in India and partner closely with the Operations Manager. S/he will become an expert in the annotation processes, train and support the team, maintain accuracy and throughput standards.

Connect with our stakeholders to understand the key annotation requirements and train associates to deliver efficient annotations. He/she conduct close-loop sessions with research team members to know more about the ML model KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and propose scalable solutions to improvise the efficiency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BE, BSC candidates, B tech - Mtech, Msc , IT, ECE, ELECTRICAL ELECTRONIC ENGIEERING
\xc2\xb7 Comes with an industry experience of 5 to 7 years with at-least 1 to 2 years in team lead/people management role.
\xc2\xb7 A graduate in any field of study. Quantitative fields such as science and engineering preferred but not mandatory
\xc2\xb7 Good familiarity with the Windows desktop environment and use of Word, Excel, IE, Firefox etc. are required
\xc2\xb7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
