Posted Date :22 Aug 2023Function/Business Area :Finance Compliance & AccountsLocation :Navi MumbaiJob Responsibilities :.The Role of the Team Manager is to manage a Team consisting of #Team member# , #Associate Manager# and #Team Executive # in ensuring the delivery of KPI as per SLA-OLA agreed with SBU. Timely negotiation of post shipment documents without discrepancy . Ensuring the timely issue of credit note and its payment . Timely availment of various credit , such as excise , DBK, MEIS benefits etc. Supporting the SBU in achieving the overall Business Goal. Approval / validation of preshipment / postshipment docs.Coordinate with bank for handling exceptional documents. In case of domestic operations - validation of credit note proposal, pricing policy, outside policy proposal, payment proposal
Ensure internal controls are in place for processing, completeness and accuracy of transactions.
Supervise , control and cordinate with Team Member , Team Executive in executing the day to day transaction processing and ensuring that KPI is delivered as per the SLA/OLA
Response to various audit queries / finalisation of audit report
Ensuring timely closing of various monthly closing activity , namely export billing, export benefit accounting , reconciliation of billing Vs STO etc. before the monthly closing date / time.
Liasioning with Bank, CHA , Shipping Company , Various Consulate office , Custom Port for ensuring the day to day operations.
Ensure internal controls are in place for processing, completeness and accuracy of transactions.
Data analysis and providing timely and accurate information on various day to day transactions.Vacancy of Imports Sr.Manager / Manager at Mumbai location for Import Clearance.Role/Purpose:The Manager Imports will handle Import clearance, tracking of deferred Bill of Entry duty payments under AEO facility, keeping track of various license utilization, Data Analysis, MIS reports including researching and analyzing information for effectively monitoring the performance of Customs Brokers.Core responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 Provide all relevant documents & data through SAP to customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate Import Bill of entry is filed for customs clearance.\xc2\xb7 Establish accurate HSN TARIFF classifications across a very broad assortment of products, components, materials, and spare parts; and validation of products being imported for the first time.\xc2\xb7 Support all custom related transactions, support customs audits, correspondence with Custom Authorities for the queries / show cause notices. Attending Customs Hearings at customs / ports.\xc2\xb7 Prepare weekly, monthly reports and various MIS reports for analysis of shipments cleared, interest incurred, detention and demurrage paid, delay in clearance.\xc2\xb7 Ability to work with the dynamics of the changes in government regulations and apply them to daily procedures.\xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with all customs rules and regulations.\xc2\xb7 Ensure record keeping documentation is complete.\xc2\xb7 Dealing with Custom Brokers and preparing the Broker performance analysis reports.\xc2\xb7 Manage ad hoc Customs compliance issues.\xc2\xb7 Monitor the issues arising out of compliance lapses.\xc2\xb7 Execute assigned projects.\xc2\xb7 Implement a program to address and continuously improve Customs compliance in areas of HS Classification, Free Trade Agreements, license Utilization reconciliation, export controls, valuation etc.\xc2\xb7 Proactively identify and drive process improvement initiatives.\xc2\xb7 Generate and contribute to performance requirements, timelines, and metrics for all related activities.\xc2\xb7 The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, and enjoys working hard, being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.\xc2\xb7 Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the suppliers /customers and co-workers, including maintaining positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness.Basic Qualifications:\xc2\xb7 Any Graduate/ Post-Graduate / MBA.\xc2\xb7 The qualified candidate must have 5 to 8 or more years of experience handling import clearance, litigations, MIS reports, Data Analysis and other issues related to import clearance.\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of SAP ERP system strongly desired.\xc2\xb7 A curious, critical thinker, with meticulous attention to detail, excellent judgment, and the ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.\xc2\xb7 Ability to translate and apply abstract and difficult concepts to the practical needs of our business operations.\xc2\xb7 Highly motivated, with the drive to work independently, plan and accomplish goals, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.Education Requirement :Graduate with higher educationExperience Requirement :At least 7 #10 years experience, out of which RIL experience should not be less than 5 years.\xc2\xb7Skills & Competencies :Knowledge
Knowledge of SAP / Microsoft Office ( Mainly excel )
Reasonable Knowledge of commercial / Accounting Principles.
Reasonable Knowledge of custom procedure / Direct and Indirect Taxation / Excise/TDS/Service Tax/ /EXIM processes
