Manage the team of electrical engineers working on 24V electrical systems and the battery-operated vehicles.
Coach and help the team in designing schematics, selection of components and harness design in an efficient manner
Ensure that the team supports proto building and testing/validation of the electrical systems.
Trouble shoot the field issues and offer suitable solutions.
Interacting with suppliers as needed for selecting components and clarifying technical queries
Ensure execution of tasks in strict compliance with operating procedures and deliver defect free output on time.
Ensure that the designs comply with the requirements of standards like NEC, OSHA, ANSI, IEEE, NEMA and other standards as needed.
Ensure effective and timely communication with customers and other stakeholders.
Interact with customers on regular basis, obtain feedback and implement actions to improve and sustain good customer relations.
Ensure that the team is kept up to date on the latest technologies and drive continuous improvements
Develop new competencies as required and bridge the gaps in existing competencies.
Recruit, train and retain team members in an effective manner. Participate or lead recruitment process for electrical competence
Own the team level processes and ensure continuous adaptation as needed
Participate in electrical forum and ensure that the knowledge and information sharing happen regularly.
Monitor the team level metrics and report to Manager on timely manner.
Follow Epiroc policies and values and actively promote the same across the organization.
Experience Requirements:
12 -18 years of experience in Electrical Engineering of Mining/Automotive/Offroad vehicles
Education:
Masters or bachelor's in electrical or electrical & Electronics from a reputed institute
Knowledge Requirement:
Good knowledge of system engineering and integration
Sound knowledge of 24V electrical systems and applicable standards
Knowledge of integrating electricals with hydraulics, controls and logics
knowledge on battery vehicles, medium/high voltage systems including motors is an added advantage.
Basic Knowledge of mobile hydraulics
Basic project management skills
Knowledge of electrical simulation tools like Matlab is an advantage
