Responsibilities

The Team Lead-SDET is taking the first steps toward Engineering Management by ensuring that teams are resourced correctly, are operating effectively, and are meeting their commitments. We are looking for seasoned and hands-on Principal or Senior QA Engineers/SDETs that are looking to take the first steps towards Engineering Management and have demonstrated leadership in their experience. This will be achieved by meeting directly with team members and with their management to identify opportunities to make the team better.

Lead and mentor a team of SDETs in the planning, testing and automation activities within an integrated team of product, architecture and development engineers.

Lead the Test Strategy and automation efforts for a modern and complex software platform

Use critical thinking coupled with an inquisitive approach to problem solving in order to ensure that the best Testing Strategies and Risk Mitigation methods are employed

Oversee and coordinate multiple quality assurance projects by guiding the team\xe2\x80\x99s vision and ensuring best practices are leveraged to accomplish objectives on time and with the highest level of quality;

Interface directly with leaders across multiple departments, to ensure a high standard of product quality and usability;

Coordinate and track project progress and workflows from initiation to production for multiplequality assurance projects;

Provide technical guidance and effectively communicate project status to all levels of the organization;

Establish metrics and Key Performance Indicators for quality assurance projects and drive changes that will influence positive measures;

Identify and improve project release processes;

Develop procedures and workflows to drive efficiency, consistency and accuracy for deliverables on project management for all sizes and types of quality assurance projects.

Ability to analyse, articulate and summarize performance testing reports for the different stakeholders.

Qualifications :-

Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience

8 to 10 years of overall experience working in a test automation engineering role involving programmatic interaction with a system under test (as opposed to and/or in addition to UI automation work)

5 to 7 years of experience utilizing QA technologies that include test case management tools, defect tracking software, source control, integrated development environments, and automation tools;

5+ years of experience in API / Front end testing and automation utilizing Selenium and Java

5+ years experience leading Quality assurance projects

3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with Agile software development processes

The ability to work and track multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience in developing against web-services and Web-based APIs

Have worked on projects with huge volume and load

Testing experience of web-based enterprise/multi enterprise business applications

Ability to balance structure, process, risk management and time-to-market factors

Proven record of strong leadership, communication, problem solving & organization skills

Good written and oral communication skills

Good to have:

Experience in testing cloud-based applications on platforms such as AWS

Experience in healthcare, desired, with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry

Experience with microservice based testing using such tools as karate

Sound knowledge of monitoring tools like Nagios, Cloud watch or any monitoring tool
