Role Overview:


The Team Leader for Business Development (Inside Sales) at MSU, will manage a team of Program Advisors who guide working professionals through their educational journey. The team reaches out to working professionals and senior executives through warm leads via phone and email to consult potential students on how our programs can help them achieve their career goals. The team provides comprehensive support, including academic advising, career counseling, and program enrollment assistance, with a student-first mentality.We are looking for talented and competitive Team Leaders who can thrive in a progressive sale environment. The successful candidates will play a key role in managing the team to achieve our student acquisition and revenue growth targets. You must be self-driven and comfortable with leading a team, delivering program presentations, generating interest and awareness, qualifying leads, and closing sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales targets. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement. Develop training programs and conduct onboarding sessions for new team members. Develop and implement sales strategies to drive enrollment growth and revenue targets. Set clear sales goals and objectives for the team and monitor progress regularly. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine sales approaches. Oversee the team's outreach efforts, ensuring effective communication with potential students through phone, email, and in-person interactions. Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to enhance customer loyalty. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop lead generation campaigns. Monitor lead conversion rates and work with the team to improve sales techniques and follow-up processes. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging skills to provide relevant information to the team and prospective students. Ensure the team provides excellent pre-enrollment and post-enrollment support to students. Address complex inquiries and concerns, escalating issues when necessary. Track and report on team performance, sales activities, and enrollment figures using CRM software. Develop best practices for customer interactions, including standard FAQs, to capture value and recommend the most suitable programs effectively. Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Work closely with other departments, including marketing, academic advising, and program coordinators, to align sales efforts with overall business goals. Participate in cross-functional meetings to share insights and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field. Master degree will be an added advantage. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, academic advising, or a related role, preferably in the education sector. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with potential customers. Proven inside sales/consultative Edtech experience with a consistent track record of exceeding acquisition/sales targets. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions. Customer-focused with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships. Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Excel and data management tools. Proficiency in sales tracking tools.
