Job Purpose
The vendor quality Manager is responsible for overall strategy for vendor, including support for vendor qualification. This role is responsible for managing vendor audit schedule and perform the audit as lead auditor. This role is also responsible to develop strategy to build and improve supplier quality system to prevent and reduce risk of quality issues.
Accountabilities

• Prepare the annual supplier requalification/audit schedule and perform supplier audits as a qualified lead auditor as per the schedule.
• Conduct audits of API, excipient, intermediate, packaging materials, medical devices & Components, Critical Consumables and KSM vendors etc. located in India and Overseas.
• Management of Audit schedule, Audit report, CAPA and closure of audit in Trackwise.
• Organise 'for-cause' audits in coordination with supply chain and user unit whenever required.
• Track and take follow up for the audit response and CAPAs from vendors to ensure its timely closure.
• Approval / disapproval of Raw material and packing material manufacturer based on mandatory documents/audits.
• Evaluation of audit observations for correct categorization based on risk assessment.
• Interaction with the vendors and guide them for improvement.
• Co-ordinate with legal and purchase department for finalization of confidentiality agreements.
• Providing the required data to various Cipla Units and resolving the queries related to Vendor approval and documents support to units during various customer & regulatory audits.

Education Qualification
B.Pharm/M.Pharm
Relevant Work Experience
15-18 years in pharma manufacturing unit QA/ vendor management/external audit
