About the Department / Vertical/ Section

The Operations Department is a key division within an organization responsible for managing and overseeing the production processes, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources, maintaining quality control, and ensuring that all operations comply with safety and regulatory standards. This department plays a critical role in transforming raw materials and resources into finished products or services that meet customer requirements.

Purpose of the role

To facilitate the achievement of departmental objectives & targets. To co-ordinate with other departments for interfacing targets & departmental requirements.

Role Description:

1. Utilities project execution _ Material selection, planning, sourcing, and resource allocation, handling commercial discussions and closing with documentation and payments to the service providers.
2. Facility maintenance - Air conditioners, chillers, boilers, compressors, and electrical systems.
3. Statutory compliances - Coordinating with safety team and ensuring on time renewals of PESO licenses, calibration and testing.
4. Driving safety projects and safety audits.
5. Implementing energy conservation activities.
6. Liaison with govt officials w.r.t PESO, labour inspectors, Electrical inspectors, weights and measures etc.
7. Managing administrative activities such as PR /PO process, bill certification, correspondences to the external agencies.
8. Implementing IT / IoT projects in the utility equipment.
9. Handling audits related ISO and IATF systems.
10. Anchoring between central functions to distant plants viz. Mysore, HP, PT TVS and Norton w.r.t Energy, safety, and maintenance systems
