Team Leader needs to manage data collection operation with ~10 associates. Primary skills required are Data process/operations Management of Share collection, Knowledge of Market Data, Price & Corporate Action data, Realtime Data etc. Candidates need to possess strong domain skill in shares data of public companies with good soft and People skills. Typically, Team Leader works closely with Manager, as well as with the other stakeholders like Tech team and Methodologies team etc. to make sure all things are available to associates to collect the data. This position would report to a Manager in the India Equity Data Operations team based in Mumbai.
General Job Responsibilities


  • Process/Operations Management of Shares data collection of Public companies’ documents

  • Primarily responsible for team productivity and quality as per SLA to deliver clients

  • Acts as main point of contact for team to resolve all queries, and concerns.

  • Workflow management, Quality management of deliverables of team members and process.

  • Ensures entire team has the tools and resources needed to meet their goals.

  • Capable of converting business need into tech specs and direct tech team to develop or improve tools and techniques.

  • LEAN and Agile mindset to be versatile. Ensures the team is operating under the most effective structure. Identifies and develops talent, should be able to put people in the right places of work.

  • Monitors metrics dashboards and ensures consistent usage of the tools.

  • Tracks, measures, and reports on agreed daily, monthly, and quarterly metrics to all stakeholders.

  • Provides coaching, mentorship and training to others on the team as appropriate and according to the specific needs of the individual and the group.

  • Identifies areas for improvement with automation mindset, across the team and proactively takes steps to improve upon these weaknesses by offering ideas for individual and group training and conducting or arranging individual and group training sessions as appropriate.

  • Sets goals and priorities for the Team members and researchers in consultation with the Manager & Senior Manager/Director and ensures performance standards are consistently met or exceeded.

  • Effectively motivates and rewards the team insuring good overall morale. Emphasise on employee engagement and psychological safety within team.

  • Conducts performance reviews of each team member and explains/sets career development paths and opportunities.

  • Monitors researcher availability to guarantee minimum staffing requirements are met/exceeded.

Daily Job Responsibilities/Deliverables

  • Workflow management and assignment of tasks as per process priorities.

  • Production and Quality management

  • Resources allocation to the tasks; assure team members engagement and psychological safety.

  • Must be excellent in business communications, negotiations and expected to have good English.

  • Stakeholder management and Team Leave management to see no impact on BAU and SLAs.

  • Conduct team huddles, meetings, Check-in to assure issues resolution on time.

  • Communicate any questions, issues or recommendations with regards to process, workflow, technology, methodology, team morale etc. all stakeholders.

  • Provide floor support by answering questions, solving issues that come up throughout the day and observing the dynamics of the team.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in finance/business with an exceptional academic record

  • Professional degree (CA, CFA) would be an advantage.

  • Around 3 to 5 years of professional work experience in Shares and Corp actions data including 1 to 2 years in leadership.

  • Good experience of finance and analytical operations, with an exposure of Shares and Capital Structure and Corporate Actions.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop talent

  • Strong people and project management skills

  • Eager to work in a high-performance culture with inclusive mindset.

  • SQL knowledge & working is desirable
