We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader Female with a strong background in insurance to oversee and guide a team of insurance agents, customer service representatives, or claims processors. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of insurance products, policies, and processes, combined with leadership skills to drive team performance and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Supervise, coach, and support a team of insurance professionals.
Set performance goals and KPIs; monitor and evaluate individual and team performance.
Conduct regular team meetings, training, and one-on-one sessions to address challenges and improve skills.
Operations & Workflow:
Ensure smooth daily operations related to underwriting, claims processing, policy servicing, or sales (depending on department).
Allocate tasks effectively and manage workflow to meet deadlines and service level agreements.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., underwriting, claims, compliance, sales) to resolve escalated issues.
Compliance & Quality Control:
Ensure all team activities are compliant with internal policies and regulatory guidelines (e.g., IRDAI).
Conduct quality checks and audits on processed applications, claims, or sales calls.
Provide feedback and corrective actions when standards are not met.
Customer Service & Relationship Management:
Handle high-level customer issues and resolve escalations promptly.
Promote a customer-first mindset within the team.
Maintain relationships with clients, agents, or brokers as needed.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and present performance reports to management.
Analyze team metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Use data to make informed decisions about coaching, resource allocation, and strategy.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Insurance, Finance, or related field).
3-5+ years of experience in the insurance industry (life, health, general).
Minimum 1-2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
Strong knowledge of insurance processes (sales, underwriting, claims, policy servicing).
Familiarity with insurance software/CRMs and MS Office Suite.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to manage pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Insurance certifications (e.g., Licentiate/Associateship from III, IRDAI certification).
Experience with regulatory compliance and audits.
Background in telesales, customer service, or claims management.
Work Environment:
Office-based or hybrid (depending on company policy).
May involve rotational shifts (if part of a contact center).
Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
