We are seeking a goal-driven

Team Leader

to supervise and motivate a team of Collection Agents. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands the nuances of debt recovery while managing performance, compliance, and morale. This role requires a firm grasp of collection strategies, regulatory compliance (FDCPA, TCPA, etc.), and the ability to mentor and guide a team to meet and exceed targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily activities of the collections team to ensure productivity and performance goals are met. Coach, train, and mentor agents to improve call handling, negotiation skills, and compliance adherence. Monitor calls and review account activity to ensure agents are following collection scripts, legal guidelines, and company standards. Handle escalated customer issues and negotiate settlements as needed. Track team KPIs: contact rates, recovery rates, promises to pay, and call quality. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of collection activities. Coordinate with compliance and legal teams to stay updated on regulatory changes. Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members. Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and ethical recovery practices.

Qualifications:

Proven experience (3+ years) in a collections environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role. Strong knowledge of debt collection laws and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
