Role/ Department: The job involves working for a Global fund administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. The position requires good experience and background in operations including familiarity with Treasury, Sanctions and Cash functions. This person is proactive in resolving conflict and demonstrates exemplary follow-through. He/she adds value by working on a number of simultaneous tasks/projects with minimal supervision while paying special attention to detail. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator and works well with partner areas. Familiarity with SWIFT, Payments, Sanctions Screening & Treasury knowledge is extremely beneficial. The key responsibilities of the role include: Manage the daily processing of cash flow requests by clients. This includes ensuring proper AML checks have been performed on the instruction, ensuring all required approvals have occurred, executing payments per authorized instruction, confirming payments have been made, posting all cash related transactions as instructed by the client and assisting in the resolution of any issues related to payments made on behalf of clients. Quality check of Sanctioned transactions - QC check the payments stopped for screening. Escalate and take necessary action depending on nature of transaction. Manage the daily Treasury activities, which involves Cash Optimization, Cash Balance projection, funding of accounts for clients. Administer account implementation process and effectively communicate status to internal partners. Instantly raise SWAT Call with IT if application is down and ensure no impact to business. KPI Analysis and identify value for time. Meet Client deliverables by providing timely resolution on extreme level queries. Effectively communicate with IT to test and implement development and enhancements of our Cash offering. Coordinate connectivity with client\'s banks, custodians and prime brokers through SWIFT Lead weekly meetings with Chicago partners and provide team with key management reporting to meet team objectives. Escalate issues and signoff on daily process requirements. Provide oversight to the Cash Management team in India, should be able to motivate & lead direct reports. People Management: Responsible for direct management of a group of Analysts, Senior Analysts and TC. Responsible for fostering a high performing team environment to ensure staff are motivated and challenged. Responsible for conducting performance reviews and identifying training and development needs. Accountabilities: Employees are required to comply with the regulatory regime in which Northern Trust operates as appropriate to the above role. Employees are expected to exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas the incumbent is responsible for are organized and controlled. Employees are required to observe proper standards of market, business and personal conduct, demonstrating integrity in the execution of duties. Reports to Section Manager / Operations Manger Skills: Approachable and able to promote teamwork through creative solutions. Good analytical, numerical and reasoning skills Time management and delegation skills Deep understanding of process and process improvement Excellent/advanced knowledge of Excel with VBA experience being a plus; should be familiar with MS Word & Office tools. Excellent English, grammar, written and oral communication skills. Adaptive, flexible style with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Qualifications: A minimum of 6+ years of experience in Financial Services environment, preferably in Cash Middle Office or Operations. Experience with Hedge Funds, Investment Management and/or Financial Services strongly preferred. Bachelor\'s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or a quantitative discipline.
