Job Summary

Svaya Robotics is seeking an experienced and result driven Mechanical Design Team Lead to oversee and guide our mechanical design Engineers in developing innovative, reliable, and manufacturable mechanical Robotic Products. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for solving complex design challenges.

Job Responsibilities

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of mechanical design engineers through all phases of product development - from concept to production. Plan, allocate, and track design activities to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables. Review and approve detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and design documentation. Drive design reviews and provide constructive technical feedback. Ensure adherence to design standards, best practices, and engineering processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Electrical, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, and QA. Evaluate design feasibility, DFM/DFA, and tolerance stack-ups. Interface with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure design intent and quality.

Job Specifications

6+ years of experience

as a mechanical design Engineer,

with at least 2 to 4 years in a lead or supervisory role.

Proven experience of working on complex and precision engineering

NPD

products (In the Industry of Robotics, SPM, Machine Tools etc..). Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as

Creo

. Strong understanding of mechanical components (Bearings, Gears etc.), complex mechanisms, materials, and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection Moulding, sheet metal, etc.). Experience in

DFMA, GD&T

and tolerance analysis. Excellent problem-solving and project management skills. Strong communication and team leadership abilities.

Educational Qualifications:

B. E / B. TECH/M. E /M. Tech - Mechanical Engineering or related with Minimum First Class Degree.
