Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Team Leader - Assembly Maintenance to join our Assembly Line Maintenance team at Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM), Bidadi. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of relevant experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance of assembly line equipment in an automobile OEM environment.
Position Details
Position Title: Team Leader - Assembly Maintenance
Department: Assembly Line Maintenance
Experience: 3 to 4 years (Automobile OEM preferred)
Age Group: 22 to 25 years
Qualification:
Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
OR Diploma in Mechatronics (Preference for Electrical specialization)
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance of assembly line equipment, including:
Oil, AC, LLC filling machines
Body lifters, nut runners (Atlas Copco), bush press machines
Laser number punching machines
Friction drive systems, Kawasaki Sealer robots, line conveyors
Maintain and calibrate function line equipment such as:
Brake testers, drum testers, alignment, and shower systems
Troubleshoot and repair equipment including:
Motors, drives, inverters, PLCs, bearings, gearboxes
Brake oil filling, LLC filling, CNG/Fuel filling machines
Conveyor and overhead conveyor systems
Understand and manage vehicle data transfer systems (upstream/downstream).
Carry out spare part management, including planning, procurement, and inventory using SAP.
Lead a team of 3-5 technicians effectively with strong communication and leadership skills.
Drive continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives for Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Human Development.
Functional Competencies
Strong knowledge of preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance techniques
Hands-on experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs (Omron/Mitsubishi), and Kawasaki robots
Understanding of IT networking (Ethernet, LAN, FL-Net, CC-Link)
Familiarity with digital tools, IoT, Wi-Fi data transfer
SAP experience for maintenance and inventory management
Ability to plan and lead innovation projects within the team
Industry Experience Required
Automobile OEM Assembly Line Maintenance experience is mandatory
Work Location & Shift
Location: TKM Plant, Bidadi
Shift: 3 Shift Weekly Rotation (including holiday and shutdown work)
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Group Leader - Assembly Maintenance Section
Leads: 3-5 Subordinates / Technicians
