TEAM LEAD - INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES (F/M/D)
Responsibilities


Server & Virtualization Management Design, deploy, and maintain physical and virtual server environments (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V) Monitor server performance, availability, and capacity across global infrastructure Implement and manage virtualization technologies in hybrid or multi-cloud environments Maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, baselines, and operational procedures Server Patch Management, Baseline Security & Policy Management Perform regular server patching and updates using tools like WSUS, SCCM, Azure Update Management Apply and maintain server baseline security configurations based on industry standards (e.g., CIS Benchmarks) Enforce Group Policies, access control policies, and role-based access across server environments Ensure server compliance with internal and external regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST) Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for Servers for threat detection, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection Integrate and operate Microsoft Defender for Cloud to monitor and secure hybrid workloads across Azure and multi-cloud environments Collaborate with security and compliance teams to implement and audit server security policies Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities identified through scanning tools and assessments On-Premises Datacenter Management Operate and maintain on-premises datacenter infrastructure including racks, servers, storage, and power systems Manage physical and virtual assets, ensuring optimal performance and uptime Oversee environmental controls (cooling, power, physical security) and vendor coordination Monitor and manage local storage systems (SAN/NAS), including provisioning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management Ensure secure connectivity and integration with cloud platforms Support compliance audits and maintain documentation for datacenter operations Backup & Disaster Recovery Management Administer and optimize enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Azure Backup) Ensure data integrity, retention, and recovery readiness across hybrid environments Monitor backup performance and resolve failures or inconsistencies Implement backup policies aligned with business continuity and compliance requirements Design and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services Plan and execute disaster recovery drills across regions to validate recovery procedures Define and maintain RTO/RPO objectives in collaboration with business stakeholders Networking Fundamentals Understand and manage IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and switching Configure and troubleshoot network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN) Support secure connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments Collaborate with network teams to ensure optimal performance and security Hybrid Cloud & Integration Manage hybrid infrastructure across on-premises datacenters and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) Lead and support hybrid cloud migration projects, including planning, execution, and optimization Integrate on-premises systems with cloud services for seamless operations and scalability Apply hybrid cloud security best practices, including IAM, RBAC, encryption, and secure configuration baselines Perform fundamental Azure cloud administration tasks, including resource provisioning, monitoring, tagging, and cost management Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST) Qualifications


Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience with Windows and/or Linux server administration in global or enterprise environments Strong expertise in virtualization platforms and hybrid cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, VMware, Hyper-V) Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud migration and on-prem to cloud integration Solid understanding of hybrid cloud security principles and tools Strong grasp of networking fundamentals and secure connectivity practices Well Experience with patch management, backup, and disaster recovery tools Solid understanding of storage technologies and data lifecycle management Familiarity with international compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST) Scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python etc) are a plus Strong communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams and cultures Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Relevant certifications such as: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate CompTIA Server+ CompTIA Network+ ITIL 4 Preferred Experience 8+ years of progressive experience in server and virtualization administration within multinational or distributed enterprise environments Proven success in managing hybrid infrastructure across multiple regions or cloud zones, ensuring performance, scalability, and resilience Strong background in patching, backup, storage, disaster recovery, hybrid cloud migration, networking, and audit preparation Hands-on experience with automation, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices to drive operational efficiency Demonstrated team leadership and people management skills, including mentoring, performance reviews, and career development Experience in leading global cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration across time zones and cultural boundaries Proven ability to deliver high-quality IT services, with a focus on service delivery excellence, SLA adherence, and continuous improvement Strong project management capabilities, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication Effective vendor management experience, including contract negotiation, performance tracking, and strategic alignment with business goals Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks is a plus The Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
