Job Title:- Team Lead Hydraulics for Harvester/H&F

Department:-Hydraulics

Reports To :- Hydraulic Engineering Manager

1.) Job Purpose: - The Team Lead Harvester/H&F-Hydraulics will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers working on development and integration of hydraulic components and systems of Harvester/H&F of CNHi to meet vehicle performance, cost quality and manufacturing requirements. Position is part of larger Hydraulic team at ITC and requires close collaboration with local/global peers, local and global leaders to deliver value output. Nature of work shall predominantly be focused on Hydraulic engineering across new product development, VA/VE, sustenance etc.

2.) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: -

Leadership/Team Deliverables

The position will be responsible to partner with respective global operating groups to co-create, lead and implement the technology & Engineering roadmap to move CNHi ahead of competition. Find ways to create, grow and sustain a strategic relationship with global operating groups.

Play a key role, working with global operating groups, to ensure talent and technical capabilities are aligned to execute current and future needs. Hiring the right talent for next level leadership roles as well as the engineers to complete the team structure in India.

Drive the deployment of CNHi standardized engineering practices across the team, ensuring effective project and resource prioritization and allocation of resources. Evolve appropriate metrics for team accountability and delivery. Responsible for delivering projects on time, within costs targets, and meeting the customer functional specifications

Ongoing identification of recruiting, mentoring and development of the engineering talent capable of becoming the technical or management leaders of the future.

Support and demonstrate a positive and collaborative approach in working with internal and external colleagues.

Partner with external resources such as universities, suppliers and associations as needed to close competency and/or infrastructure gaps.

Functional/Technical Deliverables:

  • Responsible for delivering for defined hydraulics priorities within Harvester/H&F- in close coordination with local and global leadership.
  • Creates robust component/sub system/system design to meet vehicle requirements using computer aided design tools and calculations as required
  • Execution Excellence and deliver on Time, Quality and productivity KPIs
  • Encourages new and innovative design concepts, inventions, patents and opportunity for improvement
  • Create design standards to drive standardization across platforms
3.) Background Information and Main Activities: -
  • Provide Harvester/H&F hydraulic component and system design and integration expertise to the team
  • Creates standards and procedures to improve the overall quality of the Harvester/H&F hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Creates hydraulic schematics and guides teams to use advance tools to accelerate product development and solves problems faster
  • Provides central support for integrating hydraulic and pneumatic components into vehicles to improve quality and efficiency
  • Manages workload and prioritization of assigned projects and communicates frequently with cross-functional teams locally and globally

5) Qualification, Age and Experience: -

Education-

BE/BTech/BS or ME/MTech/MS in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent

Professional Qualification-

15-24 years overall experience; preferable from Harvesters/Agricultural products domain

Experience
  • Minimum 15 years overall experience; on hydraulic system, components for mobile off-higway applications
  • A minimum of 3 years specific experience leading teams in Engineering & technology function
  • Good understanding of hydraulic system and component design including electrohydraulic systems and controls
  • Good Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Experience in managing teams, good leadership skills
  • Knowledge of CAD tools, PLM system in a large organization.
  • Experience working with global teams and as part of large virtual teams.
  • Ability to influence and build relations
  • Good communication skills in English.
6) Other Information : Preferred candidate with experience who can work with very less guidance or can work independently and can communicate with global teams
