About the Role
The Team Lead - Ground Operations will be responsible for end-to-end management of ground operations across B2B and B2C services. This role ensures service quality, operational excellence, SOP adherence, and optimal utilization of resources to deliver a seamless commuting experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operations ManagementManage the entire ground operations for B2B and B2C bus services.
Ensure daily on-ground execution, including route adherence, trip alignment, and shift management.
Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
Quality & ComplianceMonitor and maintain bus quality standards including cleanliness, punctuality, and safety.
Ensure strict adherence to SOPs for operational excellence.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of buses and on-ground processes.
Address service deviations and implement corrective actions.
Resource OptimizationOptimize utilization of buses, drivers, routes, and manpower to reduce operational costs.
Plan and manage shift rosters to ensure optimal coverage.
Minimize downtime and improve efficiency through data-driven decisions.
People & Vendor ManagementLead and manage ground operations executives, supervisors, and field staff.
Manage vendor performance and ensure SLA compliance.
Handle escalations related to drivers, routes, or service disruptions.
Reporting & CoordinationTrack and report key operational metrics (on-time performance, trip completion, quality scores).
Work closely with cross-functional teams such as customer support, tech, sales, and city heads.
Support expansion and onboarding of new routes, clients, and services.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of transportation / mobility operations
Experience handling B2B & B2C service operations
Ability to build and enforce SOPs
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong people management and vendor coordination skills
Comfortable working in rotational shifts and on-ground environments
Experience & Qualifications
3-6 years of experience in ground operations, logistics, fleet, or transport operations
Prior experience in team handling is mandatory
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, or a related field (preferred)
