Job Title: IPDRG Medical CoderKey Responsibilities:
Analyze and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for inpatient diagnoses, treatments, and procedures.
Ensure appropriate code selection during the billing process, including therapies, procedures, and diagnostic services.
Review and interpret patient records, physician notes, laboratory reports, and other clinical documentation to determine correct coding.
Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and other applicable regulatory standards.
Identify and correct coding-related denials or rejections and follow up to ensure timely reimbursement.
Accurately enter coded data into EHR systems and designated coding software.
Stay updated with changes in coding guidelines, payer policies, and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or a related discipline.
Minimum 1 to 3 years of IPDRG medical coding experience is mandatory.
Mandatory certification:
CPC - 93% and above , CCS - 330 and above is Mandatory.
