Join Shipco IT as a Team Lead - Finance

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented finance team leader who will be responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with internal controls, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of Indian as well as global accounting principles.

What You'll Do...

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Review and finalize internal/external management reports. Prepare/validate monthly service invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Transactional Finance & Compliance:

Oversee day-to-day finance operations - AP/AR/GL. Ensure accurate recording and documentation of financial transactions. Review purchase orders and ensure timely vendor & statutory payments.

Statutory & Regulatory Compliance:

Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as TDS, GST, PF, PT, and advance tax. Manage GST filings, GSTR 2B reconciliation, GST refunds, and income tax return submissions. Coordinate with consultants on basic transfer pricing documentation and secretarial compliance.

Team Leadership & Process Oversight:

Lead and mentor the team, allocating workloads and ensuring timely execution of deliverables. Monitor team performance, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Coordinate with different internal departments and external consultants to resolve issues and enhance service delivery.

Audit & Controls:

Coordinate with consultants on internal/external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit queries. Maintain strong internal controls.

Strategic Insight & Transformation:

Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency and financial performance. Contribute to process improvement, automation, and ERP optimization initiatives.

What You'll Need...

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA, CA Inter or Master's preferred). 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally/SAP/Oracle Strong understanding of Indian financial regulations and global accounting standards. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
