The Sales Lead will head Talrop's Academic Advisor team and drive overall sales performance across B2C and B2B channels. This role demands strong leadership, operational control, and a sharp focus on meeting revenue targets. You will train, manage, and monitor Academic Advisors while directly contributing to conversions, institutional partnerships, and CRM-driven process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
o Lead, train, and mentor the Academic Advisor team to improve product knowledge, communication skills, and conversion techniques. o Monitor daily performance, set clear weekly/monthly targets for the team, and ensure consistent achievement. o Handle escalated leads and provide direct support in closing high-value B2C and B2B clients. o Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, colleges, and other institutional partners to drive bulk enrollments. o Coordinate and optimize team operations--lead allocation, follow-up strategies, and CRM hygiene. o Track team productivity through CRM tools; ensure accurate logging of leads, interactions, and closures. o Analyze performance reports and implement strategies to improve conversion rate, lead handling efficiency, and revenue output. o Collaborate with internal departments (marketing, content, customer success) to streamline campaigns and onboarding activities. o Conduct regular training sessions, feedback meetings, and performance reviews to elevate team capability. o Develop and execute sales plans that align with Talrop's EdTech growth goals.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
o Bachelor's degree in any discipline. o 2-4 years of experience in sales, preferably in EdTech, with at least 1 year in a team lead or supervisory role. o Strong leadership and team management skills with proven experience driving a target-based sales team. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and the local language. o Strong understanding of B2C (students/parents) and B2B (institutions) sales workflows. o High-level proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, email communication, and CRM platforms. o Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and implement actionable strategies. o Goal-driven, proactive, and able to take ownership of both team and individual targets.
