Pellera is seeking a Data Analytics Lead to play a critical role in shaping how data is modeled, analyzed, and consumed across the organization. This role sits in the data analytics team and is responsible for translating business needs into scalable analytical solutions that support reporting, insights, and decision-making.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in SQL, data modeling, data marts, and Power BI, along with strong experience working in Snowflake or Databricks. This is a hands-on role requiring close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineering, and governance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document analytics and reporting requirements.
Translate business needs into well-defined analytical use cases, metrics, and data structures.
Design and contribute to analytical data models and data marts optimized for reporting and performance.
Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models that deliver trusted, actionable insights.
Write and optimize advanced SQL queries to support analytics, validation, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure Snowflake or Databricks data structures align with reporting and analytics needs.
Support semantic layer development, ensuring consistent metric definitions across reports and user groups.
Contribute to data governance efforts by supporting KPI standardization, documentation, and data quality initiatives.
Act as a thought partner to business leaders, helping them understand insights and make data-informed decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong experience in data analytics and business intelligence within a modern data platform environment.
Hands-on expertise with Power BI, including dashboard development and semantic modeling.
Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, window functions, and performance optimization.
Experience designing and working with data marts and dimensional models (facts and dimensions).
Extensive experience with Snowflake or Databricks as an analytical data platform.
Proven ability to work directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into analytics solutions.
Strong understanding of analytics best practices, data quality concepts, and metric consistency.
Qualifications Experience & Education
Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related roles.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
Master's degree in a quantitative or analytics-focused field is desirable but not required.
Experience in cloud-based analytics environments and modern BI ecosystems.
