About the YPAGE Team
YPAGE stands for Young People and Gender Equity, a team focussed on advancing adolescent and youth leadership through a gender-equitable lens. The team works across three core areas:
Youth-Centric Programming:
Strengthening the voice, agency, and leadership of adolescents and young people, especially those most marginalized.
Gender Equity in Youth Work:
Embedding feminist values and equity principles in youth-serving organizations and systems.
Advancing Women in Leadership:
Partnering with private sector companies, DEI experts, and lighthouse organizations to identify and scale evidence-based models that enable women's advancement into leadership roles, with a particular focus on India's healthcare sector.
Evidence-Based Advocacy and Narrative Change:
Conducting sectoral research, consultations, and campaigns to spotlight promising practices, address systemic barriers, and make the investment case for gender equity as a driver of social impact
Collaborative Action and Influence:
Building and nurturing multi-stakeholder platforms, communities of practice, and networks to co-create lasting solutions and influence policy and practice.
We partner with NGOs, youth leaders, philanthropists, government agencies, and multilaterals to design impactful programs, co-create knowledge, and place gender equity at the center of development efforts.
Role Summary
We're looking for a creative and committed
Team Lead
,
Communications
to drive the visibility, storytelling, and outreach efforts of YPAGE. You'll work closely with the Manager to create high-impact content, manage digital platforms, coordinate events and campaigns, and ensure youth voices remain front and center in all that we communicate.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Narrative
Draft and edit a wide range of content: social media posts, newsletters, reports, decks, toolkits, and more
Shape and evolve YPAGE's messaging and narrative voice in line with its feminist, youth-driven values
Work with young people to co-create and amplify their stories and insights
Digital Presence
Manage day-to-day social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube), including content calendars and scheduling
Lead the execution of digital campaigns and youth-led content series
Monitor platform analytics and engagement to optimize strategy
Event Communications
Plan and execute communications for YPAGE events and convenings: from pre-buzz to live coverage and post-event amplification
Coordinate development of event collaterals and documentation with internal and external teams
Vendor & Project Management
Manage relationships with creatives: designers, editors, production teams, translators, printers
Track deliverables, budgets, and timelines for communications projects
Ensure brand consistency across all materials and platforms
Youth & Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with youth creators, cohort members, and partners to co-create campaigns and narratives
Support packaging of updates for donors, partners, and public audiences
Ensure all communication products reflect YPAGE's intersectional, inclusive ethos
Who You Are
Must-Haves:
6-8 years of experience in communications, PR, or digital marketing
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across formats
Experience managing social media and running campaigns
Project management experience, including handling vendors and creatives
Comfort working in fast-paced, collaborative environments
Familiarity with tools like Canva, Figma, Meta Suite, Google Workspace
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with youth-led or gender-focused initiatives
Comfort in Hindi or another regional language
