Analysis center of excellence has an immediate opening for a Team Lead - CFD who will be technically leading & guiding a team of highly skilled engineers and performing engineering & technical activities in Mechanical & Thermal design & analysis. One who provide technical expertise in problem resolution, cost reduction, and quality improvement as well as engage with stakeholders to develop new analysis competencies by preparing a verified and validated model through collaborating with test engineers. Perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements. Work with Testing team in developing and executing design verification plans and mechanical testing methods. Attend team meetings to discuss about design techniques and issues. As a mentor, guide the team towards innovation through unobvious design solutions.

Support Design team in product design and development activities and provide effective design solutions to optimize product functionality. Follow best practices for fast and accurate computational efficiency. Ensure that product design and performance meet technical and functional requirements. Provide accurate and detailed reports of CFD results and consistently maintain above 90% accuracy in simulation.

Maintain complete documentations for CFD analysis and engineering methods. Help supervisor in hiring right talent, training resources to make them productive and retain by creating high performance culture. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports. This position will also be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with experts in Vertiv organization around the world. This position will be located at Vertiv Global Engineering Center, Pune, India.

Job Specifications:

  • Must have Full Time ME/M.Tech with specialization in Thermal / Heat Power / Aerospace from a reputed Institute.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in CFD domain and having at least 2 years of people management experience.
  • Expertise in Ansys Fluent Steady and Transient simulation with single phase and multiphase fluid analysis for different systems
  • Expert level knowledge in ANSYS Fluent for meshing, solving, and post processing is must.
  • Minimum 2 year of work experience with the multiphase flow in ANSYS Fluent
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience with User-Defined Functions in ANSYS Fluent.
  • Desirable experience in telecommunication, Electronics, and electrical industry products.
  • Responsibilities include interpreting customer inputs to create product simulation models required in Fluent to perform CFD analysis, Pre-processing, Setup, post-processing, results and generating customer reports.
  • Ability to generate good quality optimum mesh for model to minimize solve time in Fluent and resolve convergence issue in Fluent as well as guide team to address problems in their analysis model.
  • Highly skilled in ability to interpret the Ansys Fluent simulation results, predict the root cause of failure and provide recommendation to meet or improve the performance of the system.
  • Steady, Transient Analysis using ANSYS Software such as Icepak / Ansys aeroacoustics / Ansys Sherlock / 6Sigma ET / 6Sigmaroom / Simcenter FloTHERM is an added advantage.
  • Sound knowledge and deep understanding of subjects like Thermal Engineering / CFD / Fluid Mechanics / Heat Transfer.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (UL, NEMA, IEC and Telcordia) will be added advantage.
  • Experience in understanding top level functional requirement of a product. Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills. Should be able to interpret and follow instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Provides technical leadership & coaching to the team to execute projects and recommend/make key engineering decisions.
  • Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners across different cultures and time-zones.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
  • Capable of Handling Multiple Projects simultaneously. Strong Conceptual, problem solving and Analytical Skills. Deploy standardized process and work methodology.
  • Track monitor metrics for sustained performance covering quality & delivery.
  • Must be fluent in English with excellent communication skills - strong written and verbal.
  • Good experience with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
