"Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited is one of India\'s foremost home-grown automotive brands. Tata Motors is working in the field of 1D system simulation for chassis aggregates for passenger vehicles (ICE & EV) with primary focus on steering system. Digital tools are deployed for performing modelling & simulation of steering system using AMESim software.

JD is related to Lead Position - with focus on early design stage simulation with an aim to verify/validate the design and provide optimized solution to designers, deliver simulation projects with good accuracy, on time release of simulation report for projects in following categories: * 1D modeling and simulation of steering system & full vehicle using AMESim software.

• Prediction of Performance Attributes Targets (PATs) with full vehicle level simulations
• Optimization of steering mod els to achieve design targets
• Development of 1D simulation methods and tools for issue resolution, quality improvement and VAVE project
• Support & contribution to Steering related New Technology Development Projects

Job Responsibility :

1D modeling and simulation using AMESim software "Steering System Sub-System and System/full vehicle modelling & simulation using AMESim software.

Simulation capability for the following :

a. Steering Rack F orce Evaluation using 1D Tools for PAT Target Assessment

b. Steering System Parameter Optimization for achieving Steady State Handli ng PAT Target

c. Steering System Parameter Optimization for achieving On-Center Handling PAT Targetd. Steering System Parameter Optimization for achieving Frequency Response PAT Targete. Digital Estimation for Standstill Parking Effort and Torque Demandf. EPAS Motors

Thermal Simulation for PAT Target AssessmentModel building capability :

a. Tire road contact patch modellingb. Steering + Suspension + Pacejka Tire + 18 Doff chassis Modelc. Detailed Steering system model with Motor Electrical & Thermal charecteristics "Design optimization to achieve PAT targets

"Design Optimization simulation:

a. C-Factor optimizationb. Rack Force Optimization * Knowledge of co-simulation between AMESim & HEEDS/ModeFrontier for optimization

• Able to post-process the results and drawing meaning conclusion out of optimized designs
• Reporting and recommendation to design enginee

Development of 1D simulation method s and tools "Simulation Methods & Tool development for :

a. Steering NVHb. Performance simulationc.

Quality improvement/ Field Is sues like vehicle pull issue, C-factor optimization for handling issue resolution etc.d.

VAVE project requirements i.e. EPAS therma l analysis etc.

Automation of simulation related activities for productivity improvement"

Minimum Qualification & Specialization (e.g. BE-Mech):

Education Qualification BE/ME (Mechanical / Automobile),

Post-Graduation preferred

Experience 8-10 years in relevant domain Skills

Primarily Skill : Simcenter AMESim, HEEDS/ModeFrontier, Matlab-Simulink

Secondary Skill : Skilled in Programming/Analysis/Calculation/Pre-processing using Matlab - Simulink

Domain Knowledge :

Must have :

Strong fundamentals in steering system & vehicle dynamics Knowledge of simulation methodology for KnC, Vehicle dynamics - Static & Transient analysis and depth understanding of MBD modelling technique & theory

Knowledge of CAE methodology for target cascading from vehicle level targ ets to aggregate level targets

Good knowledge of vehicle testing methodology

Should have individual capacity to interact with other team member

Should have individual capacity to correlate the virtual and test data

Should interact with design and testing teams for system development

Should attend various meetings as and when required

Strong ability to handle team efficiently Actively partici pate in new technology development program
