Position Purpose

The Manager Asset Planning role is responsible for supporting in planning for existing & new assets and ensuring maximum utilization of all assets by driving integration of demand and supply drivers to build a robust asset plan. The role involves capturing of customer needs, circuit planning, capturing of supply schedules for key materials, and logistics plans to ensure optimum product-asset allocation.

Strategic Responsibilities

Translate business requirements to an asset plan and provide inputs to the production plan Ensure efficient allocation of products to existing and new assets so as to maximize asset allocation and asset utilization Design and develop a PS&OP (Profit, Sales & Operations Planning) process and ensure compliance to process with the business units Identify and develop methodology to synthesize various sources of demand (baseline statistical analysis, customer incentive plans, actual booked orders, product mix, and market intelligence) to generate a single unified demand plan Identify and develop methodology to synthesize various sources of supply (Evaluate material supply and overall capacity available in the network, circuit planning) Maintain statistical data and models that are needed as inputs and parameters into the planning processes

Operational Responsibilities

Manage the specific plant level considerations to generate realistic circuit plans Manage planning for new assets in line with business requirements through active collaboration with detailed engineering & projects execution teams Support in implementation and roll out of monthly demand and supply meetings to understand roadblocks and potential opportunities to optimize margin Lead stakeholders in supply constraint situations and facilitate an effective decision making process Plan for contingent & immediate orders necessitating changes in schedules and maximizing asset utilization Support projects to address deviations in supply and demand processes using continuous improvement models Provide structured feedback to business units on forecasting accuracy and suggest areas of improvement

Financial Responsibilities

Minimize conversion cost and loss order by effectively optimally allocating products to asset Establish annual budget for Asset Planning team and ensure that the team operates within the budget

People Responsibilities

Recommend initiatives for building requisite skills & competencies through focused professional development and capability building initiatives for the team Review workforce capacity gaps within the team and ensure timely recruitment in alignment with Corporate HR policies Actively sponsor, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, the performance management process of the team Ensure stability & sustainability through a robust succession planning process to meet current & future staffing requirements of the team Recognize & reward excellent performers & affirm key contributions of employees toward the achievement of goals & objectives Inspire & motivate employees through demonstrated commitment to PI's values, vision & mission and exemplifying effective leadership, initiative and persistence needed to accomplish goals and objectives

Education Qualification

Chemical Engineering from a reputed institute PG - MBA/PGDM Graduate (Operations)

Work Experience

5-10 years of experience in Asset Planning, Statistical Forecasting, Business Forecasting
