Key Duties and Responsibilities
1.
Teaching and Instructional Duties
Plan and deliver structured lessons in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, and Civics.
Use diverse teaching methodologies such as storytelling, case studies, debates, and map work to make social science engaging.
Integrate audio-visual aids, ICT tools, and real-life examples for effective teaching.
Promote awareness of national heritage, constitution, democracy, and social responsibilities.

Curriculum Implementation and Planning
Prepare lesson plans in alignment with the government-approved curriculum (SCERT/NCERT).
Design classroom activities and projects that develop critical and analytical thinking.
Organize field trips to historical sites, government institutions, or natural landmarks (if permitted)..

Assessment and Evaluation
Prepare and administer formative and summative assessments.
Evaluate students' understanding through tests, assignments, presentations, and project work.
Maintain academic records and generate performance reports.
Identify learning gaps and provide remedial instruction.

Classroom and Student Management
Establish a respectful and inclusive classroom environment.
Encourage open discussions, student participation, and respect for diverse opinions.
Handle student behavior issues with patience and professionalism.

Professional and Administrative Responsibilities
Participate in school-level academic planning, teacher meetings, and departmental reviews.
Maintain all documentation as per government or institutional requirements.
Assist in the preparation of examination schedules, invigilation, and evaluation work.
Adhere to duties assigned by the Head of Institution or Education Department.

Citizenship and Community Engagement
Educate students about rights, duties, and constitutional values.
Celebrate national and international days such as Independence Day, Republic Day, Human Rights Day, etc.
Foster patriotism, ethical conduct, and social cohesion.

Professional Development
Attend teacher training programs, workshops, and seminars organized by SCERT, DIET, or government bodies.
Stay updated with educational reforms, teaching practices, and policies.
Incorporate NEP 2020 recommendations, where applicable.
Desirable Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of Indian History, Constitution, Geography, and Current Affairs.

Educational Qualification
: Bachelor's Degree in Social Science subjects (History/Geography/Political Science/Economics/Sociology) +
